Founded in 2014, The Dew Drops are an American country band dedicated to preserving the timeless sound of traditional country music. Comprised of seasoned musicians Jim Phillips (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and vocals), Bob "Uncle Bob" Phillips (electric guitar), Jones Smith (Dog house Bass) ,Adam Carswell (Pedal Steel), and "Cousin" Kendall Turnage (drums), The Dew Drops draw inspiration from the rich heritage of classic country artists.
The band's roots trace back to the vibrant music scene of Wilmington, North Carolina, where founding members Jim and Bob Phillips, along with their fellow Kinstonian Dave Sinclair, formed the country punk rock band Rural Swine in 1988. while Kendall Turnage rocked the scene in Wilmington with his band Raised by Cows.
In 2014, these talented musicians came together to form The Dew Drops, with a mission to capture the essence of vintage country music. Drawing inspiration from legends like George Jones, Hank Williams, and Webb Pierce, The Dew Drops promise an authentic and nostalgic country music experience.
True to their roots, The Dew Drops pay homage to the traditional country sound of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, dressing in vintage cowboy wear and meticulously crafting their performances to evoke the spirit of the old country bands.
